Japan: Akihabara and Tokyo Dome

Some kind of promotion for a new game.
Akihabara is a district in central Tokyo that is famous for it's numerous electronic goods shops.  These shops sale everything from refrigerators and washing machines to the latest cutting edge computer technology.  In recent years, Akihabara has become known for being the center of Japan's Otaku culture with many of the shops devoted to selling anime and manga goods.  Also, this district of Tokyo is also known for having an extraordinary number of maid cafe's.  This was evident the moment we stepped foot onto the main thoroughfare of Chuo Dori.  There was a young Japanese girl dressed up as a maid on almost every street corner.  They stood there advertising for their respective cafe's by handing out pamphlet's and flyer's to the multitude of pedestrians.

Yep, that's Tim.

Tako Yaki.

Warm Soba and Katsu with rice.

A tower of porn!

Food stalls on Chuo Dori.

At first I thought they were cops but now I'm not so sure cuz one of them is holding a little stuffed animal.
After Akihabara, we headed over to Tokyo Dome.  The home of the Tokyo Giants.  When we went we just happened on a performance by one of the local, and there are tons of them here in Japan, boy bands.  Me and Tim weren't interested in hearing the Japanese N'sync but it was interesting to see all the fan girls go crazy when they came out.  Either way it was cool.

Old lady snoozing in front of Tokyo Dome.

Little girl who's a little bit scared of the robot man in front of her.
